
1. Drink green tea. It is full of anti-oxidants and is good for you. Surveys have shown green tea to be effective in preventing the growth of cancer cells. A cup of green tea a day is said to reduce high blood pressure significantly as well.
2. Drink red wine. Studies in Athens and at Harvard have shown us that drinking red wine in moderation is good for us. This means consuming between one and four glasses every week, preferably along with some food. This helps reduce the risk of heart attacks as well. Red wine is rich in anti-oxidants known as flavonoids. These anti-oxidants help in the fighting against free radicals in your body.
3. Eat bright colored foods. Since we are on the subject of how anti-oxidants are good for us let us see how they help. Anti-oxidants help in neutralizing the effects of free radicals. Free radicals are dangerous to our system and cause heart attacks as well as diseases like Alzheimer's. Another thing anti-oxidants do is help in the rebuilding of damaged cells in our bodies. Most bright colored foods are rich in anti-oxidants. Examples include berries and pomegranates. Pomegranates are said to reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Other foods like brussel sprouts and broccoli help fight cancer.
4. Eat fresh foods and consume only good fat. Eating fresh food, rich in Vitamin E especially is good for us. It is a good prevention from strokes. There are fats that do us no harm and can be beneficial if included in our diet. Oil from sources like vegetables, avocado, fish and nuts can help with insulin sensitiveness and decrease blood fat and bad cholesterol. This is why the Mediterranean diet is one that is recommended as it contains vegetables and nuts and oil from sources like olives. This style of diet is said to reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.

5. Exercise. We all know that exercising is good for us. By exercising routinely we'll see more than just an improvement in how we look. Exercise makes us more energetic and leaves us feeling happier and more confident as well. Exercising regularly helps increase bone density and along with the improvement in your muscles will leave you looking and feeling much younger - even up to 15 to 20 years younger. Aerobics, walking, running and swimming are good ideas as is going to a proper gym for working those muscles out.
6. Relax and be positive. Relaxing helps our face retain its youth. Rather than increase the lines on your face by worrying you should be positive. You can try meditation and avoid negativity which will only make you unhealthier and make you feel and look older.
