Lost 20lbs in 2 months!

October 11th, 2008 by Thrandur

I think the best diet out there is going in gym. I tried it and lost 20lbs in about 2 months. I was apprehensive to give it a shot because of the cost, but it was well worth it and has been the only diet that has actually worked for me and that I can stick to.

I lost 5 lbs my first week. If you stay on this gym diet, you will lose weight. You can still eat foods you love in moderation, I think that is the key to any diet, is moderation.

Weight Watchers just helps you be accountable to someone, and gives you the tools to tell yourself when you’ve had enough and to stop the stress and bored eating habits so many of us have these days.

I have gained some of the weight back, but that is just because I haven’t stuck to the plan. If you stay with it, you will lose weight and keep it off.

My jeans are now big on me!

October 9th, 2008 by Thrandur

I personally have always been a small woman up until I had my last child in the year of 1999,

Whew!!!

After that I just couldn’t seem to lose all the weight I had gained,

However I was determined to somehow someway lose this weight, so I began by enrolling in a 24 hour fitness, I would go to the fitness gym at least 3 times a week if not more, I began by working out slowly, do a bunch of different exercises.

Also beyond the gym I began jogging around my block every single night, after doing this for at least what seemed forever I began noticing my jeans were now becoming big on me, however I also noticed that it was taking extremely long to see any results, so besides the jogging and going to the gym, I changed my eating pattern, I stopped eating tons of breads and pasta, sweets ect.

Today I am now back to my normal weight, I’ve been at my current weight which is 125 for about 7 years now and boy does it feel great.

Healthy and fit

October 7th, 2008 by Thrandur

I have used the South Beach Diet and exercising daily with great results.

Before I started, I felt horrible, I was one of those people who wanted fast results and I felt like i wanted to give up. But i kept going knowing in the long run it would help my body out a great deal.

After a couple of months i felt healthier and a little lean on the body. After eating the South Beach diet food, I was more lean, I looked great. The exercising did a great deal on me. I was in better shape.

I have kept using the same methods, but i cheat sometimes. But i eat the bad food in moderation.

Effortless weight loss…

October 7th, 2008 by Thrandur

Having dieted for many years with mixed results, I began my last diet with a goal of losing 20 lbs before my son’s wedding. My husband is diabetic so I knew I would also have to take his needs into consideration when preparing meals.

A friend told me about the product Alli and said I should give it a try. Being somewhat skeptical, and having read rather negative articles about the product, we decided to go slow and instead of taking 3 pills a day, we started with just one and began reducing our fat intake at the same time.

Since the wedding was still some time off, we were not really too serious about the diet, but we were taking note of what we were eating, eating somewhat healthier, passing up seconds and such.

I was not really optimistic, but rather unexpectedly, the scales said something was happening. Since we were not really putting very much effort into this plan and still having some success, we decided to start walking a mile every other day and increase our intake of Alli to 2 pills a day.

The weight really began to come off and fairly quickly. Within 4 months we both had lost 20 pounds and it seemed pretty effortless. We also found our fat intake had dropped dramatically and our energy was increased.

As is often the case, when you have some success with a diet, you become motivated to do more, and the ease and time involved in taking the Alli did just that for me. Almost without my realizing it, food with too high a fat content were not appealing, and my size 10 jeans felt and looked so good.

Now, almost a year later, we have maintained our weight, and take the Alli only occasionally to get us back on track. I think the real benefit to this product is that the results are fast, and as you succeed, you are motivated to keep up the good work.

I went down three sizes…

October 5th, 2008 by Thrandur

The South Beach Diet truly is a miracle. Before I started on this diet, I was on Atkins and barely making it with the rigid guidelines for eating.

I was at a loss of what to do next, but I knew that I had to find something else. My fiancé at the time bought home a book on the South Beach Diet. I read it from top to bottom and back again. I wanted to be an expert on the diet before starting it. I was suffering from the plateau from Atkins, and I was hoping that South Beach would me move past that.

As all women know, it’s hard to lose weight with all of our issues, but when you hit a plateau, nothing is more depressing. With that depression, came the temptation to just blow up all of my progress and start a feast. The temptation was growing more every day, so I knew I had to make a new choice and quick.

It took around three months before I started to see a difference with South Beach, and the first two weeks of cleansing the body of cravings was somewhat brutal but completely worth the effort.

I am what people call a sugar addict, and it broke me of that habit with those two weeks. I could be at the office and not want to indulge in the treats that were offered on a regular basis.

I went down three sizes with this method of dieting and have kept it off for a while now.

Occasionally, I do have the weekend of not being perfect on it, but the best thing about South Beach is the variety of foods and the wealth of knowledge on the net about recipes for the diet.

As the book suggests, it is wise to incorporate exercise with this diet. The food choices are only one part of the equation. However, if you are unable to exercise, you can still lose the weight. It will just be at a slower pace.

The South Beach diet is perfect for every lifestyle from the busy mom at home to the business executive who barely has time to eat. South Beach is the healthiest diet out there right now. It is giving an individual the basic tools by asking the person to just choose foods that are what most doctors suggest in the first place – whole grains, fruits and vegetables and foods in low in fat.

To me, this isn’t a diet but a lifestyle, and it’s the best one you can make for your life.

I can see that the popularity of South Beach still exists today, and My-Diet-Program.com has some great links to products for the diet. I suggest buying the book from this website and then you’re on your way to a better, healthier you.

I’ve lost about 30lbs in 3 1/2 months!

October 1st, 2008 by Thrandur

Hi My name is Colin. I’ve lost about 30lbs in 3 1/2 months using the so called “Atkins Diet” which is basically a low carbohydrate diet. You start with a 2 week introduction, which helps your body get used to the sudden change in your eating habits.

Before I started I was depressed about my weight and always felt tired regardless of how much sleep I had and after refusing to go up another waist size I decided to give it a try.

The first 2 weeks are hard - you are basically allowed 3 main meals per day but with drastically reduced carbohydrate intake (no pasta, bread rice etc) and in between you are allowed snacks but no fruits!

I first noticed the difference after about 1 week when I noticed that my clothes weren’t so tight as before and I was getting more energy (even started jogging) within the first month I noticed a large weight loss (around 20lbs) however this evens itself out and you start to lose weight slowly.

I am still using aspects of Atkins but not as rigerous as previously, I’m back to eating pasta and bread (not white) bit in much smaller portions than previously and it seems to work. If I have a party or something and put a bit weight back on I just switch my eating habits for a day or two and it’s gone again.

My-Diet-Program.com really helped as it showed my all the diets available and gave the pros and cons of each which helped in my final decision.

Thanks once again,
-Colin

Moderate my food portions

October 1st, 2008 by Thrandur

The very best diet I have been on is simply moderating my portions. I don’t measure anything but instead of having ten cookies I’ll maybe have two. I just have to remember that the cookies will be there tomorrow as long as I don’t eat all of them tonight.

It is all about portion control.

I was a little nervous before I started because I was scared to fail. I started noticing the difference right away. My attitude when I was successfull at not overeating would change my whole day. It also gives motivation to keep going.

My pants would get looser and my belly wouldn’t jiggle when going up and down the stairs. Everything would feel firmer - maybe not noticably - but to me it was all the difference in the world.

I have kept using the same methods - my motivation comes and goes but by remembering how good I feel when I pay attention to what is going into my mouth I can get back on track.

I found lots of useful articles at my-diet-program.com and I’ll probably go back to get more info when I have more time. I agree that nutrition is also the key - I try to eat lots of brown rice and beans which have lots of fiber and tend to fill me up faster and also satisfy my “comfort food” cravings. It doesn’t all have to be about carbs and sugar.

I felt better and looked better!

September 28th, 2008 by Thrandur

Most people look at me and think that I do not need to lose weight, but I need to lose 15-20lbs that I have gained after having a sit down job and just having too many of those home baked goodies that everyone likes to bring in.

I was about to go on a wonderful vacation to the Bahamas and to put on a bathing suit, I had to get rid of the extra weight I had on my thighs and tummy.

I had tried the Atkins diet before and I couldn’t even make it one week so I looked into the South Beach Diet as a friend of mine swore by it. This was the first diet that didn’t feel like a diet and that was very easy to understand with the list of foods you can eat or the food to avoid in their book.

After the first week, I had lost 4lbs and I couldn’t believe it. You are to do a no sugar & no carbs for the first 2 weeks.

After the 2nd week, it was more in my clothes getting bigger than seeing the number on the scale go down.

It was crazy how it quickly just started coming off and I kept losing a pound here and a pound there. You have such a large variety of food to eat and snacks throughout the day that you never have that growl in your stomach that you normally have when you eat the wrong foods. It became so easy to say no to sweets after being on it for 2 weeks.

I lost a total of 14lbs and felt better and looked better than ever. Everyone would commit on how good I looked and I felt really good about myself.

The other great thing about the South Beach diet is that it takes a long time to put weight back on when you start slipping into those bad habits again.

Overall, this is a really good diet that I recommend that you will not ever feel hungry as you are doing it. I was able to quickly find the diet on your web site.
