Diet The Indian Way

November 6th, 2008 by Thrandur

I am a housewife. My name is Latha. We lived in India.

In my words exact diet method is first we adopt morning walk as earliest as possible. In the morning walk we burn our energy very effectively. So my first opinion is morning walk is the best method for diet.

Then we do something in our home that is in our food programme. Some people are says the coconut oil is increased our fat.But there is some fact in this opinion. In our experience it is almost 75% is correct. Then we changed the oil named Sundrop sunflower oil. Use of this oil fat also mostly decreased.

Next programme for diet is we are using vegetables more and more, because in vegetables plenty of proteins, minerals and other contents are included. Mostly today plenty of people are liked in non-vegetarian food. So after this changing of food is affected in our body.

In non-vegetarian food plenty of fats are included and it destroyed or body. In my opinion using of non-vegetarian food also decreased and increased our strength through eating of vegetarian food. This is too be a best diet for our body.

Another one is that drink plenty of water. In the current world doctors also says drink more water control half illness, because our measurement of drinking water is more and more increased our health also be improved. Before eating please drink water, that helps to eating the food quantity also come down. It helps to decrease our extra fat.

Another programme of good dieting method is yoga. Daily we do yoga practice our energy increased and fat decreased. It is a good favour of our health and a good diet method.

Then we change our attitude towards food come down and practice meditation we have achieve a good health. At last I says eat good food that is containing proteins, minerals and others etc. It is the our best diet programme.

I used to weigh over 250 lbs…

October 26th, 2008 by Thrandur

Me personally i used to weigh over 250lbs now im glad to say I’m under 185lbs.

The method I used was a diet and exercise program I made my self. First I cut salts, fats and surgars and started eating more lean protein. Then I started doing all body weight exercises that included 3 sets of 20 pushups 3 sets of 20 sqauts 3 sets of 5 pull ups 3 sets of 20 jump sqauts 3 sets of 25 sit ups 3 sets of 20 leg lifts that pretty much covered my entire body and i would do it 3-4 times a week as fast as i could to keep burning fat.

On my off days from that i would hit my heavy bag for 30 min and/or do jui-jitsu with my brother.

I still do this but not as much anymore.

I burn fat on the treadmill

October 22nd, 2008 by Thrandur

I used to be really thin and could eat whatever I wanted, until I had my first child. Ever since then it was really easy for me to gain weight and once the weight is on it was almost impossible to get rid of it. I have tried counting calories, slimfast, and other meal replacement programs. One time I even went as far as limiting my calories to only 800 a day. Yikes, that was bad!

All of these things were unsuccessful, because I was so used to being able to eat whatever I wanted pre-baby days and I still wanted to eat that way. Without being able to eat what I wanted I became tired all the time, grouchy, and miserable. Then I would cave in and start pigging out and then gain even more weight than before.

So that is when I decided to give up on dieting all together for good. I started exercising, and doing A LOT of it. I knew that if I wanted to eat what ever I wanted then I better start burning calories and fat. I started running, lifting weights, and playing sports and swimming. I did this 5 times a week when I was first starting out and now I do it about 3 times a week to maintain my weight.

It took me about 2 weeks to see results. It is time consuming, but it has paid off! On top of that, I feel great!

I have so much more energy now than I did before in my entire life. And even though I do eat what ever I like, I know am more thoughtful of what I put into my body since I did so much work to burn off the calories. Now I think to myself, “do I really want to eat a snickers bar for a snack when I have already spent 40 minutes on the treadmill?”

Lost 20lbs in 2 months!

October 11th, 2008 by Thrandur

I think the best diet out there is going in gym. I tried it and lost 20lbs in about 2 months. I was apprehensive to give it a shot because of the cost, but it was well worth it and has been the only diet that has actually worked for me and that I can stick to.

I lost 5 lbs my first week. If you stay on this gym diet, you will lose weight. You can still eat foods you love in moderation, I think that is the key to any diet, is moderation.

Weight Watchers just helps you be accountable to someone, and gives you the tools to tell yourself when you’ve had enough and to stop the stress and bored eating habits so many of us have these days.

I have gained some of the weight back, but that is just because I haven’t stuck to the plan. If you stay with it, you will lose weight and keep it off.

My jeans are now big on me!

October 9th, 2008 by Thrandur

I personally have always been a small woman up until I had my last child in the year of 1999,

Whew!!!

After that I just couldn’t seem to lose all the weight I had gained,

However I was determined to somehow someway lose this weight, so I began by enrolling in a 24 hour fitness, I would go to the fitness gym at least 3 times a week if not more, I began by working out slowly, do a bunch of different exercises.

Also beyond the gym I began jogging around my block every single night, after doing this for at least what seemed forever I began noticing my jeans were now becoming big on me, however I also noticed that it was taking extremely long to see any results, so besides the jogging and going to the gym, I changed my eating pattern, I stopped eating tons of breads and pasta, sweets ect.

Today I am now back to my normal weight, I’ve been at my current weight which is 125 for about 7 years now and boy does it feel great.

Healthy and fit

October 7th, 2008 by Thrandur

I have used the South Beach Diet and exercising daily with great results.

Before I started, I felt horrible, I was one of those people who wanted fast results and I felt like i wanted to give up. But i kept going knowing in the long run it would help my body out a great deal.

After a couple of months i felt healthier and a little lean on the body. After eating the South Beach diet food, I was more lean, I looked great. The exercising did a great deal on me. I was in better shape.

I have kept using the same methods, but i cheat sometimes. But i eat the bad food in moderation.

Effortless weight loss…

October 7th, 2008 by Thrandur

Having dieted for many years with mixed results, I began my last diet with a goal of losing 20 lbs before my son’s wedding. My husband is diabetic so I knew I would also have to take his needs into consideration when preparing meals.

A friend told me about the product Alli and said I should give it a try. Being somewhat skeptical, and having read rather negative articles about the product, we decided to go slow and instead of taking 3 pills a day, we started with just one and began reducing our fat intake at the same time.

Since the wedding was still some time off, we were not really too serious about the diet, but we were taking note of what we were eating, eating somewhat healthier, passing up seconds and such.

I was not really optimistic, but rather unexpectedly, the scales said something was happening. Since we were not really putting very much effort into this plan and still having some success, we decided to start walking a mile every other day and increase our intake of Alli to 2 pills a day.

The weight really began to come off and fairly quickly. Within 4 months we both had lost 20 pounds and it seemed pretty effortless. We also found our fat intake had dropped dramatically and our energy was increased.

As is often the case, when you have some success with a diet, you become motivated to do more, and the ease and time involved in taking the Alli did just that for me. Almost without my realizing it, food with too high a fat content were not appealing, and my size 10 jeans felt and looked so good.

Now, almost a year later, we have maintained our weight, and take the Alli only occasionally to get us back on track. I think the real benefit to this product is that the results are fast, and as you succeed, you are motivated to keep up the good work.

I went down three sizes…

October 5th, 2008 by Thrandur

The South Beach Diet truly is a miracle. Before I started on this diet, I was on Atkins and barely making it with the rigid guidelines for eating.

I was at a loss of what to do next, but I knew that I had to find something else. My fiancé at the time bought home a book on the South Beach Diet. I read it from top to bottom and back again. I wanted to be an expert on the diet before starting it. I was suffering from the plateau from Atkins, and I was hoping that South Beach would me move past that.

As all women know, it’s hard to lose weight with all of our issues, but when you hit a plateau, nothing is more depressing. With that depression, came the temptation to just blow up all of my progress and start a feast. The temptation was growing more every day, so I knew I had to make a new choice and quick.

It took around three months before I started to see a difference with South Beach, and the first two weeks of cleansing the body of cravings was somewhat brutal but completely worth the effort.

I am what people call a sugar addict, and it broke me of that habit with those two weeks. I could be at the office and not want to indulge in the treats that were offered on a regular basis.

I went down three sizes with this method of dieting and have kept it off for a while now.

Occasionally, I do have the weekend of not being perfect on it, but the best thing about South Beach is the variety of foods and the wealth of knowledge on the net about recipes for the diet.

As the book suggests, it is wise to incorporate exercise with this diet. The food choices are only one part of the equation. However, if you are unable to exercise, you can still lose the weight. It will just be at a slower pace.

The South Beach diet is perfect for every lifestyle from the busy mom at home to the business executive who barely has time to eat. South Beach is the healthiest diet out there right now. It is giving an individual the basic tools by asking the person to just choose foods that are what most doctors suggest in the first place – whole grains, fruits and vegetables and foods in low in fat.

To me, this isn’t a diet but a lifestyle, and it’s the best one you can make for your life.

I can see that the popularity of South Beach still exists today, and My-Diet-Program.com has some great links to products for the diet. I suggest buying the book from this website and then you’re on your way to a better, healthier you.
