2 Diet Secrets I Use to Lose Weight After Christmas!

January 6th, 2009 by Thrandur

Christmas has gone, and with that, the joy and fragrance that were its sidekicks! But one thing has remained behind - your weight. If you have indulged yourself quite a bit in Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve, if you have stuffed yourself with as much food as you could during the holidays, is it any wonder that you have put on a few extra pounds of weight after Christmas is over?

But there is nothing to worry about. You may or may not believe it, but it is pretty easy to lose the weight you gained in Christmas! How? Well, that is what I am going to discuss in this article!

When we think about weight loss, our instinct tells us to go after the typical fad diets and diet pills which promise us instant weight loss using ‘magical formulas’. Now, as a matter of fact, not only are these options expensive, but most of them don’t work at all! And in this time of recession, why would you spend money on weight loss while you could do it all for free!

1. Drink water: As part of the natural weight loss strategy I follow to lose Christmas weight, I increase my daily water intake. In fact, doctors suggest that an adult should drink at least eight glasses of water per day. While eight glasses of water is what I drink normally, I increase my water intake to about ten or twelve glasses per day when I am on a weight loss mission. I have noticed that I manage to lose a few pounds just by increasing my water intake!

Now you maybe are wondering how something as simple as water could help you with weight loss! As a matter of fact, water helps in removing two huge barriers to weight loss:

a) Dehydration: Needless to say, when you drink enough water, your body would be hydrated at all times, which is ideal for those who want to shed weight quickly!

b) Toxins: Toxins present in your body prevent any weight loss method you undertake from becoming successful! When water flushes out these toxins, your body becomes healthier and lighter. Once your body is relieved of the toxins and wastes, it enhances your metabolic rate. When your metabolic rate is enhanced, you burn fat like crazy and lose weight!

2. Excercise: Diet is something I won’t mention here since people tend to make out a different meaning of this word. Dieting usually means eating healthy and natural foods. But most people believe that they need to follow the ridiculous fad diets for the purpose of weight loss, which is simply not true.

Anyway, let me tell you of yet another natural weight loss method I use to lose weight quickly! I exercise a lot. For your information, I mainly focus on those exercises which help in shaping up my body as well as toning up my muscle groups! I have found that these exercises not only help me achieve quick weight loss but also provide me with a strong, muscular body!

The minimum workout frequency should be 3-4 times per week; if you can do more then that is great! If you are working out on your own without any expert help and guidance, I would suggest that you use ‘cool down’ and ‘warm up’ sessions when exercising! This way you won’t face any serious problem during the workout session!

As you can see, losing Christmas weight is not only easy, but 100% free! Try these weight loss methods and I am sure that by the time the next Christmas comes, you will have a leaner and fitter body to flaunt!

Diet & Exercise!

There is only one weight loss plan that consistently works for the majority of the population: diet and exercise. It’s not always a quick fix, and many people who try it don’t succeed precisely because they expect immediate results and they get bored or depressed while trying.

The Biggest Loser Club is designed to help individuals maintain a diet and exercise plan, and this online resource is one of the best available. There are plenty of diet websites that offer calorie counters or exercise trackers. At The Biggest Loser Club, however, members are presented with a comprehensive approach to successful weight loss. The club provides members with customized meal plans, shopping lists, recipes, exercise programs, weigh-in reminders and more.

According to members, participating in this club is hands-down one of the best ways to lose weight and keep it off. The Biggest Loser Club Provides the Best Diet Plan The weight loss results on NBC’s reality series The Biggest Loser may not be “typical,” but the show demonstrates the possibilities and struggle of real, serious weight loss.

The plan used by cast members works, and it requires real commitment, struggle, and hard work. The show’s weight loss plan is surprisingly straightforward–it emphasizes healthy weight loss, through healthy eating and exercise.

Diet, Pills & Excercise

July 28th, 2008 by Thrandur

The best method I have found for me, personally, is a combination of diet pills/supplements and the tried and true standard of diet and exercise. I have tried a variety of different diet pills, with varying degrees of success. At first, I bought into the hype of Xendarine, but found it made me too jittery. I tried the kind that supposedly target belly fat, but those, in fact, only made me more puffy and bloated. I have finally settled on a diet pill called NanoSlim. It is a small purple pill that gets taken once a day, and plenty of water must be drunk throughout the day in order for it to be effective.

I also exercise a minimum of 4 times a week for 1-2 hours each time. Every time I work out, I do a half hour of solid cardio work on the elliptical machine, and follow it with abdominal exercises. Every other workout, I also do light weight training to tone my arms and legs. In addition to the exercise regimen and supplements, I also restrict myself from eating certain foods and try to keep my calorie count down for each day. I deliberately limit myself to 2000 calories a day, and make healthier food choices: whole grains whenever possible, sugar substitutes, “low-calorie” substitutes in recipes when I bake and cook, etc.

Before I started, I felt anxious about not being able to achieve the results I wanted. I delayed starting a diet and exercise program for awhile, even though I was more unhappy with how i looked with each day that passed, because I knew that it would take alot of motivation and a huge time investment. I wasn’t sure I could handle a total lifestyle change.

Initially, I felt frustrated, as many people do when starting a diet program, because results aren’t immediate. However, I did lose 4 pounds the first month, which, although not monumental, encouraged me to keep going. I figured, if I could lose at least 4 pounds each and every month, it still meant I could lose about 50 pounds within the year, which to me would be fantastic!

I started out at 214 post-baby (I just had a baby in January of 2008). After 3 months of my current weight loss program, I am down to 200 pounds, and still losing. More important than the numbers on the scale, I am dropping clothing sizes like crazy. Even on weeks when the scale hasn’t changed much, I notice that I still look better - slimmer, more toned. I am very happy with how things are shaping up for me - pun intended!

I am sticking with what works.

Tried every diet, pill, drink imaginable

July 15th, 2008 by Thrandur

I think I have tried every diet imaginable, and have tried every pill, drink, magic potion every promise and cure, including the quick fix but the only one I have ever had any results with were low carb. Atkins always made me nervous because I felt I did not get enough veggies, and ate too much fat.

My most success was on South Beach. The last time I was on it, I lost 40 lbs. It was right before my last pregnancy. The hardest part for me is the first 2 weeks of the phase 1. I have a very hard time starting off cutting out the sugar, and the refined carbs. I love sugar and breads. I know how bad they are for me, and they pack on the pounds so quickly. When I first cut them out, I get very bad headaches for the first 4 or 5 days, but they go away once they get out of my system and then I feel so much better. I also then have so much more energy. They also drop the weight very quickly on me. Once I make up my mind that I am starting I can do it, but I have to be very focused and commited. If I stop and start again all it does is mess me up and I yo yo back and forth.

I have found lots of diet foods that fit nicely with south beach. Many are low in sugar or no sugar at all. Kraft foods are making some, plus online stores are full of them. Many products are made with soy and made with either stevia or splenda and are perfect for it. Once you get past the first 2 weeks you even add back in some fruits witch also help with sweet cravings. I also love how Kraft and some of the online stores make some easy prepackaged easy to take along meals that fit into the meal plan. I love the wraps. They make perfect lunches for work, and the ‘tv dinners’ are really yummy. They even have pizza. I never feel deprived at all. I worry about cholesterol too and that is not a problem on this diet because it is taken into consideration in the meals that are prepared. I just really like it. I really never felt on a diet and can stay on it for life like I am supposed to. It is truly a way of life, not a diet.

Before I started I was always a slug. I felt so fat and disgusting.

After the first few dys. I had bad headches at first from the sugar withdrawal, but I am a sugar addict.

The results where HUGE. I lost 10 lbs in 7 days. 40 lbs in 3 months.

I became pregnant so I stopped losing but I still follow most of the same patterns.

I found it absolutly easy to find the products I need on this web site.
