I went on this diet my (then) boss recommended to me: the grapefruit diet to lose weight. Being a Florida resident, it was feasible for me to find fresh grapefruit juice without all the additives and sugars. So everyday I would buy the Indian River grapefruit juice and drink it at breakfast, lunch and sometimes in between meals.
Couple with that, I did 30 minutes of exercise in the morning, ate smaller portions and restricted myself from eating late at night. I used to feel sluggish and sometimes a tad nauseated from all the impurities I was putting in my body from all the junk food I was eating.
I started to notice a difference when I would crave less junk food, feel full and had more energy. I went down 3 dress sizes within a month and I have kept using the same methods.

One of my former bosses tried the grapefruit diet and recommended it to me. I live in Florida and finding good citrus juices,especially the ones freshly picked are readily available. I always bought Indian River grapefruit juice and would drink some for breakfast with a small amount of Special K for breakfast and a yogurt smoothie. For lunch I would have a Smart Ones entree and dinner would be something home cooked and in a smaller portion due to the fact that I would finish my shift around 8pm.
Before I started I felt sluggish and sometimes a tad nauseated with all the impurities I was putting into my body with all the junk food I was eating.
Soon I noticed that I gained more energy, endurance (from exercising 30 minutes a day in the morning). Along with that I had less cravings for snacks since the grapefruit juice would make me feel full.
I dropped about 3 dress sizes in almost a month of going through the diet along with exercise.
