Lost 20lbs in 2 months!

October 11th, 2008 by Thrandur

I think the best diet out there is going in gym. I tried it and lost 20lbs in about 2 months. I was apprehensive to give it a shot because of the cost, but it was well worth it and has been the only diet that has actually worked for me and that I can stick to.

I lost 5 lbs my first week. If you stay on this gym diet, you will lose weight. You can still eat foods you love in moderation, I think that is the key to any diet, is moderation.

Weight Watchers just helps you be accountable to someone, and gives you the tools to tell yourself when you’ve had enough and to stop the stress and bored eating habits so many of us have these days.

I have gained some of the weight back, but that is just because I haven’t stuck to the plan. If you stay with it, you will lose weight and keep it off.

Check out the Weight Watchers section of My-Diet-Program.com to get tons of info on Weight Watchers and why it works for so many people!

Lost 60 pounds in 4 months!

September 25th, 2008 by Thrandur

I’ve lost 60 pounds in the past 4 months using weight watchers. Their point system is so simple to use, and it only takes about a week to get adjusted to it.

Before I tried this, I was eating sometimes just out of boredom. Didn’t have anything to do? Let’s open up the refrigerator and grab something. I was so out of shape that I literally became winded after chasing my dog around the back yard for less than a minute.

Now, with the weight watchers regimen, you are given a certain amount of points each day that you cannot exceed, if you expect results. Alcoholic beverages count as points– so if you plan on drinking in the evening, you must take that into consideration. Some foods are worth no points at all– so you can eat as much as you want!!! Sugar free jello with sugar free whipped cream can be surprisingly satiating, as well as healthy popcorn with calorie-free butter.

I also of course cut out any and all fast food, and mostly anything I don’t cook myself. Sodas are something I never drink, and I only drink beer on rare occasions.

I began feeling the difference within a week and a half of beginning the diet. I felt more energetic and began going to the gym. I steadily increased my time on the treadmill and the weight just kept coming off. I was around 240 and now I am at 180, and am actually on the verge of being skinny.

It is easy to find this method on the My-Diet-Program.com site, and it is one of the most simple to stick with. There really has been no looking back for me.

People who have known me before the diet say they can hardly recognize me. I’ve been significantly overweight all my life, and this has been incredible for me.

Moderation is my key to dieting

September 23rd, 2008 by Thrandur

I was just a few years away from turning 30, about to get married and was watching several of my relatives struggling with health problems that had only been getting worse because of obesity. I decided I was young enough to be able to change my habits, and old enough to know better than to continue eating poorly and being sedentary.

I had tried the Atkins Diet, South Beach, Weight Watchers, Richard Simmons Deal-A-Meal and dozens of other diets. I had gym memberships and had spent thousands of dollars on food that promised to make me healthy and lose pounds quickly. I had read dozens of books on nutrition, but I was always looking for a quick fix.

I realized that I had so much information — I must have the tools and the resources I already needed to lose weight and reach a healthier lifestyle. I wound up customizing my own diet, using techniques from several different programs to come up with something that made sense, could be sustained long-term and would still allow me to eat the things I enjoy in moderation.

Moderation is the key.

Using the approach in the Three-Hour diet, I gave up large meals and started grazing more. I now split my breakfasts and lunches into two parts, eating four small meals during the day to prevent myself from going long periods of time without eating and being so hungry after a while that I gorge.

I eat a normal-sized dinner, and then I wait a while to see if I even want a dessert. Using tips from the Mediterranean diet, I have cut back on my red meat consumption and starting eating more fish and alternative sources of protein, including more nuts. I also am eating more healthy fats, including olive oil.

Rather than trying to limit myself form certain foods or avoid all food groups all together, I’m paying attention to calories and making sure my input (what I eat) is less than my output (what I burn).

I started feeling a difference within a few weeks, and within a year I had lost 50 pound. I’ve kept it off for two years, without changing a thing or depriving myself.

My-Diet-Program.com provides a lot of good information on so many different eating programs that it’s easy to find different resources so you, too, can customize a lifestyle that works for you. The more information you have at your fingertips, the faster you can change what isn’t working.

Lost 15 pounds in 1 month!

September 18th, 2008 by Thrandur

I used weight watcher to lose 15 pounds in 1 month.

I was about 175 pound after giving birth to my first child. I felt very tired all the time and just didn’t have a desire to do anything.

After I started the diet I noticed a change in how I felt within a day or two. I had more energy, I wasn’t constipated any more. The first week I lost 5 pounds.

I ate the most points allowed for my weight range and didn’t feel like I was being deprived at all.

I still use this method today, and I am always counting point in the back of my head when I am getting ready to prepare a meal. I joined weight watchers online which is very easy to use and they have many tools to help you succeed.

Whenever I need to lose some weight…

Lost 45 pounds

August 19th, 2008 by Thrandur

I have tried many diets to help me loose and maintain my weight. My eating plan that has worked the best for me has been weight watchers. I have started weight watchers many times. Most of the times I went it was to help me take off ten to fifteen pounds.

I had always been active and didn’t have any trouble keeping my weight in what I thought was an okay range. But as the years went by and I grew older I was okay with being twenty pounds over weight before it bothered me and before I knew it I was fifty pounds over weight and so out of shape that I didn’t like myself anymore. I didn’t care what I looked like. I quit buying clothes and having my hair done. I didn’t have much energy and just not fun to be around.

The first two weeks of weight loss the last time was more of a struggle for me than it had been in the past. I was older and didn’t quite have my heart in it yet. Then I went on week three and realized that I was five pounds down and I was in control of my food. If I could control what I was eating each day without feeling like I was starving then I could control other things in my life. I even began to exercise and after a few more weeks I could breath in my clothes and was gaining my self worth back.

It took me six months to lose forty five pounds and to go from a size sixteen to a size eight. The best part was the energy I had. I wasn’t happy coming home from work and sitting in front of the TV. I wanted to be busy. I didn’t just go out and buy new clothes I became interested in old hobbies and began talking with old friends. I also knew that this time my weight lose was going to stay lost!

I lost most of my weight over two years ago. I will have to admit that I have gained back ten of my forty five pounds back. My life has been very stressful over the last year and I have dealt with other health issues. The good news is that I am going back to weigh in for the second week tonight. I know that I have already taken of two pounds. Even though I slipped a little I know that the program works and that I have the power to make to make it work.

It is very easy to learn more about weight watchers and even join through the web.

A simple point counting diet program

August 14th, 2008 by Thrandur

The best diet program that has worked for me is Weight Watchers. I lost 35 lbs on Weight Watchers about 4 years ago and have been able to maintain it since.

Weight Watchers uses a points system in which each food that you put in your mouth is allocated a set number of points, and you have a minimum and maximum number of points per day. For example, many vegetables are considered zero points (ex: lettuce, and other greens) so you can have lots of veggies throughout the day. Fruits more or less are about 1-2 points, depending on the size and sugar/calorie content. Proteins generally are around 1 point per ounce and fats or fatty foods will have more points allocated to them, as expected.

So as you can see, it is very reasonable to be able to eat a sufficient amount of food and feel full throughout the day depending on the foods you choose. This is a great way to encourage healthy eating (i.e. increase the veggies and reduce fatty foods), which is a great way to encourage a healthy habit for the long-run. Also, the program has great online or in person support to help you stay on the path towards a healthy weight. There is flexibility in this plan so that you don’t feel like you’re cheating and you feel much better about yourself during this diet. It actually does not feel like a diet, more like a lifestyle because you can still eat the foods you like, but you control the serving sizes (and they’re not ridiculously small servings!).

Before starting Weight Watchers, I felt really down and low about my body but within one week of starting the program, I could already feel the benefits and felt much better about myself! I ended up losing 35 lbs in about 6 months, it’s a slow loss, but I’ve been able to maintain most of it since.

Atkins and Weight Watchers

August 14th, 2008 by Thrandur

I have been successful in losing weight twice in my life. First, by using Weight Watchers Online. I had recently graduated college at an all-time max weight and I felt horrible-depressed, tired, lonely. I was actually an employee at a major fast-food chain at the time and I found that eating was still not a problem as the points allowed enough flexibility.

I lost a total of about 25lbs. I felt much better, but still very heavy afterwards.

A few months later a close friend of mine started following the Atkins Diet (at the height of it’s popularity) and I saw the weight just falling off her. So I tried it-with great success! I started to see results in a bout a week and I lost a total of 40 lbs. more. I felt great-I was exercising, I looked fabulous and I went out and found a new man (who became my husband).

I have not continued to use either of these methods, although I did go back and do a “refresher” of the Atkins diet with my husband. It is easy to find info on the Atkins diet on the My-Diet-Program.com web site.

Weight Watchers seems to work the best for me

August 11th, 2008 by Thrandur

The best results for me has been Weight Watchers. I felt defeated before I started. I have gone more than once. I am currently attending Weight Watchers at Work and this seems to work the best for me. I go on my lunch hour once a week. It comes with free Etools.

I began to see a difference right away. I lost several pounds my first week. I also feel more energetic and less tired. I have been during the At Work program for the past nine weeks. I have lost over eleven pounds.

However I do have setbacks. I have trouble on the weekends when I go to parties and barbecues. I have trouble resisting the desserts and appetizers. But as long as I get back on the program after the weekend things get back on track. I have continued using Weight Watchers and I plan on continuing to use it. It was easy to find Weight Watchers on the my-diet-program.com site. It was the third or fourth option down.
